    QUESTION Birds eye .50 coupons

I had received this email from the company after a few of you were confused about whether or not the eBay coupons would work on the birds eye frozen veggies. Here is their response.

It sounds like this coupon would have been for Birds Eye/Freshlike vegetables.*

It sounds like they don't know which coupon you were referring to. The coupon specifically states "Birds Eye Fresh" which is a line of fresh vegetables, not frozen.

I copied the picture directly off of eBay and sent it to them which included the bar code.. I asked specifically what this coupon could be used on since it is so vague. I also asked if this would work on the frozen veggies. I don't need any more of these darn veggies as my freezer has been jammed packed with veggies from a few sales ago that I actually paid full price for and my darn family won't eat them!!! Lol.. I was just trying to help those that were questioning this weirdo of a seller on eBay!!

The weirdo sounds like an extreme couponer. The employee probably couldn't find any "Birds Eye Fresh" products since it appears the line was discontinued a few years ago. I dread what the use of these coupons is going to do to us.

SteamFresh is NOT FreshLike - it is that simple.

I want a good deal too, but honestly I will not fight tooth & nail to rationalize using a coupon for something it is simply not good for…..

This coupon is NOT to be used for the SteamFresh line, period.

Totally agree.. Unless the stores really will be cracking down on the coupons :0( my local ge just changed the policy to like 4 coupons and the pic has to match the item or it's a no go. The only thing u can do is pre order and they will let u use up to 12 coupons at cs.. They said they can't keep up with the demand and with people now price matching at walmart, it's hurting them. Too many old people complaining!! Sorry had to rant as I didn't realize "that show" came back last night!!!! Theses weiros will be the death of us!!!!

I wouldn’t have an issue with the show if they wouldn’t depict couponers as unethical hoarders w/ severe emotional issues… But it wouldn’t make good tv to show the more normal group of us…..

I'm just tired of going into any store anymore and feeling like a criminal!! There was a lady in my area who got arrested for stealing all of our inserts (mine included) from the newspapers that were delivered to people's houses and local gas stations!! She blamed it on " the show" because times are tough and you have to do what you have to do!!!! I mean seriously! I had a girl at walmart (cashier) tell me that I was dumb for buying papers for my coupons and how she just gets them off the Internet and copies them!! She said no one can tell the difference!!! I called corporate when I got home and they said they will get on top of that one ASAP!! What people don't realize is by doing this fraudulent crap and because you may get away with it at that moment, you will and every one out there will pay the consequences in the long term! I have a family of 5 and believe me our groceries can get extreme.. However I do not hoard but will get enough to last until the next sale comes around!! I don't need 500 bottles of mustard... I may need at most 20 as my hubby eats it on everything!! Ok I'm done ranting!! Gotta go play with the kids and give coupling a break for a moment haha

I HAVE to chime in on this.

I was at GE today with my baby and a man came up to me out of nowhere and proceeded to tell me all about how to misuse coupons! I've been doing this a long time. Obviously I know these stupid tricks, but I just refuse to go to these lengths to get a deal. I just smiled politely and nodded (he was nice enough, I guess) and he said, "Oh, I just thought you could use the help because you have a baby and all."

I HATE "that show". Hate. It's ruining it for all of us, and I hate that it makes people think it's ok to do unethical (or even illegal) things just because times are tough. Or because they don't think they'll get caught.

    Sorry. Rant over.

That "show" came out of the gate showing how to use coupons improperly. The vendors should sue TLC for promoting it.
