QUESTION Only one Cat per transaction?

I did a bunch of the Pup-peroni deals this past week and went to use the Cats on my next trip. The first one went thru fine, but it beeped on the second one and the cashier said I can ony use one per transaction. Am I missing something? Is this a new thing or could it be just these Cats? They don't say one per transaction, they read just like every other Cat. Has anyone else run into this?

I’d have to see the exact wording on the cat to tell you for certain, but it could be a number of things. It is ultimately up to your store/manager as to whether they want to accept more than one.

This is true for everything. Just because corporate says one thing does not mean the manager has to abide by it. All managers can use their own policies such as the stores that only allow 4 of the same coupons, or only 1 cat per transactions or let you use unlimited, or says that more than 12 coupons has to be done in a second transaction and so on. I have many friends that are in GE management and all say the same thing. Everything is a YMMV. And Independent stores do not have to follow corporate guideline

This happened to me last night at an independent-any other time they override them, and there are a couple of cashiers that type them in manually because it doesn't require an override that way...well, last night they wouldn't budge on the one per transaction "rule"- I would bet this will be another thing that changes in the new policy :(

I don't see how using one cat per transaction can become part of the new coupon redemption policy. I remember a couple months back when they had that great Dole catalina deal where it was producing multiples plus it was a double dip because also got a G.E. weekly or monthly reward cat of like 75cents for every 4 you bought there was an issue. I remember then when the sale/deal was over and i went to use multiple cats in one transaction the register beeped on the second cat and cashier said i could only use one per transaction. Floor manager came over and i asked how can i only use one per transaction NOW when at the time I received them I was receiving multiple cats per one transaction. Floor manager agreed and did an override.. Unless part of the change is going to be that there will be no more catalina deals that even produce multiple catalinas in one transaction......Ouch!

I would have had them seperate the order but they already hate me and scrutinize EVERY little thing I do-if it weren't that this little independent store is only 5 miles from my house and the corporates are about 20 miles away I wouldn't even give them what little I spend oop

and as far as one per transaction-it CAN be done since it is already programmed that way, and I would be ready to see multiples go away too(we'll have to see what Kraft does on Thurs. I guess)

Here is my take on this, so this week coming up there is the kraft cat, the scrubbing bubbles cat and the tampax cat. So if I get all 3 of these I will get 3 cats in one order but can only use 1? No way! and some of the stores do take it as only 1 cat per order regardless if they are from different promotions

The difference would be from 3 different promos and I would think they are coded differently(and since they are different dollar amounts they shouldn't beep anyway)...ie. one would say "thank you from Kraft foods", one would say SCJohnson, and one would say P&G or Tampax...I don't know how CATs are coded(individually per manu. or just for $$amt off, but if someone has a few different ones laying around maybe we could figure it out) I've used multiples before at GE that didn't beep but they were different $amts.(like the Henkel $7 and the $2off meat at the same time)
I really don't know what's in the works but in all the years I have been doing this the last few months have been the worst for problems, not many great deals, and especially the dirty looks and manager assistance..sometimes it isn't fun anymore :(
