Is FP Going off Shelf at your GE?

Okay, so I make my trip to GE this morning to do the P&G fuel perk deals. Adv card is showing in every ad, so I'm assuming shelf price, right? The GE I go to has ALWAYS been shelf price, and I have done multiple deals there. So I buy over $25 shelf for the .25 bonus perks and over $25 shelf for the .20 bonus perks. I check out. I get NOTHING. I head over to CS, and she tells me the fuel perks always go off of the sale price... umm... no. So, instead of arguing with her, I take all my stuff and go, and am going to call the corporate office and ask them... but before I assume I right (well, I kind of already do.. haha), can anyone else let me know if it worked for them off of shelf?

I just got back from GE and bought 2 17lb bags of Iams Dog Food at $16.97ea, plus used $2.00 coupons and got the extra 0.25 in gas points.

Thanks for your reply. I think the dog food was a buy 2/get bonus fuel perks deal though and not a spend $25. I'm so frustrated because I called Corporate and the people there have no idea what is going on. They tell me that it always goes off of sale price, which we all know is obviously wrong. Who the heck are you supposed to talk to to get the correct answer?

It worked for me with 3 Tide - but I had a terrible experience. I went through the self checkout, and it didn't show my 25 cents - so I added on two more detergents. Still it didn't show up so I asked the cashier to delete the last two, and I would try it without. She questioned me - and I explained that it goes off of shelf price, and I knew that Corporate knows about it and there isn't anything wrong with it. She said she didn't want to get in trouble - so she got a manager. The manager said I was trying to cheat the system. I asked her to call corporate - which she wouldn't do. I asked her to let me show her that it does work. She voided the 2 Tides at this point, and I showed her that it worked. She said that it only worked because I had (she implied) tricked them into voiding off the other two - that triggered the 25 cents off. I told her my reputation was more valuable than a deal - and asked her to return the Tide - and I would walk out with nothing rather than have she and the cashier thinking that I am that type of person (It is my regular Giant Eagle) She then proceeds to say - well, I wouldn't know if it really works on three or not - I'm not that kind of a person - and she wouldn't void it for me! She then said "If it works for you - go ahead do another one - but I wouldn't do that type of thing" I went home crying! I tried to explain it further to her, and tell her I didn't wish to be viewed that way - but she simply would not listen! I felt like a low class citizen or something! I've couponed for 2 years, and I try hard to do everything on the level! Do you guys think there is something wrong with going off of shelf price? Am I right that Corporate is o.k. with this? I haven't ever spoken to them myself, but I really felt like a heel after being treated that way - like I was actually a criminal that was being allowed to get away with it!!

My cleaning items went by sale price for Fuel Perks. I spent only 24.99 sale (forgot Tide would be 5.99 not the $6 I rounded to when figuring) My customer service lady helped me figure it out and let me buy another Dawn to get the FP.
How much is your Tide shelf price? Mine is 7.99 so I would had to buy 4 to get the $25 minimum FP bonus by shelf price anyhow.

I bought 3 Mr Clean multi-surface bottles, 3 Mr Clean multi-surface sprays, 3 Mr Clean bathroom cleaners, & 1 Tide - I didn't get any bonus FP. I sent them an email about it on Saturday but haven't heard anything back and they still don't show on my account.

My tide was $10.49 regular price, and so 3 worked fine.

Nice to know. $18 - $6 = $12 - $3 in Qs = $9, or $3 each. Wish I knew this, would have bought enough tide to last me a year.
