I saw that some of Giant eagle sotres in Ohio got the $1 off GAs with new or transfered prescription coupon..
i will be driving thru Ohio tomorrow and if its on my way would love to stop and grab a few flyers with the coupon!!!
I am not paying $5 for a coupon. (on e-bay)..LOL

giant eagle opened up a new market district store in columbus (it is similar to giant eagle but much bigger - kind of like how walmart has their stores and their sam's club stores)....It is called their kingsdale giant eagle and located around the upper arrlington community. Unfortunately it is not easy to find off the highway so be sure to bring a map or GPS. The coupons say "only valid at kingsdale market district" but they do work fine at other giant eagle pharmacies as long as the cashier is not a jerk about scanning it. However, this week in the market district ad they are not running the pharmacy promotion.
I did mystery shopping last year at GE and one of the questions I could choose to ask the pharmacy was if they would take the gas coupon from another store. The answer I was supposed to get was "yes", and "yes" they take competitor's coupons too. You may want to call corporate to see if it has changed, but you should be able to use the coupon at another store.
The Giant Eagle in Brook Park, OH, located on Snow Road will give you a hard time about honoring competitors’ RX coupons …
“We are supposed to read all the fine print …”
So, when the 'Receive a $10.00 Target gift card when you have a new prescription' coupon says ‘Good only at Target,’ you know you are in for some grief.
Of course it is only good at Target … it is a Target coupon!!!
They honored it but it took all of my strength to not say something (biting my tongue).

It is the consumer that is paying for those RX coupons … in the form of the computed selling price of the products and services.
The Giant Eagle employee handling your competitors’ RX coupon acts like it is coming out of their pocket.
