I worked the show last year (with B&N) and it was mass chaos because of how the celebrity chef autographing was set up. Based on how it went, I'm guessing that the show is going to be set up better this year. There was talk of it being on BOTH floors to allow for more room and more organization. My manager has already met with the woman in charge (same as last year) about the event~ I'll have to ask if she knows yet exactly how it's going to go. I hope it runs more smoothly than last year! Too many people in the book signing lines made for too much chaos in the rest of the place!

I will NOT be attending this year. Last year's chaos was enough for a lifetime. Add the hour drive and it's no fun.
I'm not convinced that the "organizers" of this event really understand how to make it better but I hope for all of your sakes that I am wrong. In addition, many of the vendors were simply overwhelmed by the crush of people and were out of samples and/or coupons by mid-afternoon on Saturday.
    Sorry for the rant

I'd give it another shot if I lived in Pittsburgh and free admission, but like RAVmom I don't think it's worth the chaos, driving time and gas money even if I won free tickets again.

I only got to meet HLBig13, which was fun, but missed everyone else. :(

After the madness of last year, especially because of Duff... the organizer said she was going to look into setting it up on both floors... the celebrities would be on one floor (likely upstairs) and the rest on the other. That'd help with the chaos. There were too many people trying to cram in for the celebrities that you couldn't move. It was awful that people were so mad at US because of how it was set up, but all we did was bring the books to sell, we had to do it from where and how they told us to! I think they've definitely learned their lesson and I think it'll be set up much differently this time. I'm hoping I at least have a chance to breathe and maybe drink a bottle of water this time @@. At least there's no one as huge as Duff there this year!

They actually have some celebrities I might want to see this year from the food network. I'm hooked - even though it was a mob scene last year, I'm going again.

I will buy another case of the small boxes of vegetable stock again and will get as many q's and samples as I can. My friend is hopefully driving up from Virginia to pick up some stuff and we're shooting for that weekend so she can go again.

We're all gonna have to pick some kind of flower or something else to put on our loot bags so we can find each other. Last year, I didn't see anyone from here and actually walked right past MJK when she was in line - not gonna let that happen again.

And you got to talk to me for about 3 seconds, long enough to find out if it was actually me or not, lol. It was way too chaotic. I had to run back to our store to get more change for the registers, and while I was there I grabbed bottles of water for everyone to bring back because we couldn't stop long enough to even grab a drink or run to the restroom (which we were right next to)!

This year they are definitely expecting less chaos. It IS on both floors and they're planning on arranging the celebs better. Also, Duff was a HUGE deal (and source of frustration for us and customers becase of the chaos) last year... the celebs this year aren't quite as big~ hundreds of people aren't likely to flock from all over to see this year's chefs. They're big, but Duff was just HUGE. So I'm anticipating a much calmer and relaxing time this year~ I may even be able to walk around a bit to check out the booths this time!

Yay for 2 floors!! Hopefully, it won't be as crowded. I still remember the 1st one I went to at Monroeville - neeky, tranquilmama and I were able to sit at tables and just chat (and that was with all of their great kids there too)

I'm still going this year. The chaos was…well… chaotic! BUT I still personally enjoyed it. Hoping for a great time this go around!!

If you go to Groupon.com and look on the right side - there is an offer to get tickets for $10.

Thanks to willow78 for the info.
