Jen, if you haven't bought the Manwich yet, make sure to get Bold. The regular used to be good too, but the last few times I used it, it was bland. If you mix the two flavors that seems okay too.

The consistency is like tomato puree if you are familiar with that.

I actually don't like 99% of prepackaged food, but I don't mind Manwich. I usually make my own sauce, but Manwich will do in a pinch. I'm a vegetarian so I use it with veggie "meat" but I still don't mind the taste. It's a little salty for me, but I think pretty much everything already made is too salty.

Thanks Funny and PGF - I think I plan to get a few cans - try one (with a hefty side dish in case I don't like - ha ha) then if I hate it, I'll pass it along. I'm really afraid it will taste like ketchup. I like ketchup, but not as a sauce my food is smothered in.

On another note, I really would like to stock up on more of these quick meals. When school starts in another 2 weeks, my kids' schedule gets insane w/ all the practices and such. They usually haul butt home, make a quick snack (a small pizza, can of CBRD, can of soup, etc) then wait until dinner. We eat dinner late most of the time because everyone gets home late so I need these types of things for 'snacks'. What is really funny is these kids basically just keep eating all day long, so when school starts and they can't, they load up on food when they can. They'll eat cereal for breakfast, 2 lunches at school, a 'snack' after practice, dinner, another late night snack and then graze all they can in between. Surprisingly they are not big kids… They must get it from my dad - he can chow down all day and still be his little ole self! lol

Here is a $10/1 but it's only for the DVD/Bluray which is $24.99.

I didn't want to derail the weekly thread with OT so I'm posting here in the hopes that some will read it. Several people on SD called regarding the Kellogg's rebate (Fuel For School). Apparently this year they're doing it a little differently. They're only honoring rebates from certain stores and they claim rebates will not be paid unless the store logo on the form matches the receipt (meaning, purchased at store x and store x form. Not purchased at Kroger with a Meijer form). It's worth a shot to send, but just so everyone knows...

Also, this has nothing to do with GE but they are supposedly not honoring the rebate for stores that participated in the $10 Cat deal the last 2 weeks. It's either Cat OR MIR. Not both.

so today i used my fuelperks, $429 before coupons, (3 carts) $39.00 in perks (13% of $300) $142 when i was done. HMMMMM i gotta figure this out. kids liked all the pudding and junk, just not happy about hauling it all in! (oh and $20 in cats too) **sigh, i am so tired. 2 hours in the store, 1 hour to put it all away.
