Giant Eagle ~ Other: Giant Eagle: Its that time of year again - BTS Donation Drive

Most of you know I am huge on this donation drive, so when I saw the signs today I got really excited! Each year Giant Eagle does a donation drive for Back to School when you can bring either new or very gently used (like new) coats, sweaters, and clothes to the stores and the coats and sweaters will be cleaned free and then the items will be donated to students in the general area who cannot afford back to school shopping. They are looking for school aged sizes which really means - All Sizes.

The dates for collection are July 29th - Aug 25th and donations can be made directly in the store - typically to the dry cleaning or customer service counters.

I go through my sons clothes at the beginning of the school year each year and pick out the excellent conditioned clothing they no longer fit (you know the ones I bought last year that they hated and never wore! lol).

Thanks for the heads up, I've never seen any signs for this in my local GE, will check when I go in next time.

Is this for Ohio GE's too? I haven't seen any signs and If anyone knows of a GE local that collects, please let me know. This is the time of year my daughters clear out some room for new clothes and I have found many that are like new to new.

I shop at the Brunswick, OH GE and they have the BTS donation there. They did not advertise it but when I was in there yesterday I saw the donation box. It was in front of the drop and go for the dry cleaners, up by customer service. Your GE may have it to, just not advertise very big. If I weren't looking, I probably would have walked right past the box.

I found it, the box was empty, before I dropped my bags of clothes in. I don't think many know about this? The sign is in front of the cleaners and the box is in front of the play room.
