In the past I have only had a problem with the Dannon coupons doubling. when it is for buying 6 containers of yogurt and they only allow doubling up to the price of the product - so for some reason it was coded to the price of 1 container. (not the 6 that I purchased) I pointed that out to the Customer Service and they gave me the difference.
Yup, we have to be vigilant most days. I do have my favorite cashiers at the stores I shop with regularly though, so I rarely have to deal with the fools who play their power trips

I have found that stores that double up to 99 cents generally have the blinkie coupons that all begin with "9", other stores all begin with '5' on their blinkies, don't know why that is either. I assume that the stores can request those "9" blinkies? No matter, I collect the "9" ones for use at stores that don't double or only double up to 50 cents and then gather the ones with "5" for use at the stores who double up to 99 cents

I will play the game, and I will win And I won't even cheat!

Coupons are found money - who walks by money on the ground??

What killed me was the "its only 75 cents"! Really. I nickle and dime alot of stuff and won't buy items if they are pennies more than what I think it will be or should be.

Thoses 75 cent coupons would have added up to $3. If I let that happen every time I shopped....do the math.

I used to be a cashier many moons ago so I do understand that it is their job to read them and make sure they are being used correctly. Why is it that it irks some cashiers so much that they are being used and customers sometimes get great deals to free stuff? It isn't out of their pockets. Using coupons is much easier now too. I remember the old days when we had to imput the coupon by hand then press the double key and then what department it was for. There was no scanning of the coupons and the machines never beeped if you didn't have that product. So you can't tell me it is hard to do.

On the other hand...I love it when the cashiers or baggers gather around and are happy/ amazed at good deals or will even ask you how you did it.

Now in Berea, the store manager wasn't going to let anything double that I had, I told him it was corp policy, he said, please let me see that because it is not what I am being told from corp..especially since they got the new registers with the more obvious/easier ability to stop the dbl. . Very nicely I said, ok, then I won't take any of this..he looked at me stunned, really? I had a LOT, but I also had a LOT of coupons. In the end, he let me double but only because I was going to walk.

What's with these new registers? Medina is going through a complete expansion and remodeling and the new registers were just installed and now the receipts look really different too. I hope this DND issue goes away soon!

I had a RC for the Carolina Rice and was using (4) 50c IPs to pay for it. So the rice was free after the coupons doubled. I redeemed the RC at customer service and when she gave me my total I told her it should be zero. She then waved the IPs at me and said, "These type don't double." Really? So, the scanners can tell the difference between a coupon I printed at home and one I clipped from the paper? I told her they do double but I could tell she didn't believe me; she just sighed and made my total zero...it was a mixed victory.
