    CHAT Chit Chat 7/15-7/21

Since the ad is up I thought I'd start the chit chat thread. Ad's not too exciting for me from what I can tell.

I am not too excited either. My yogurt supply is getting low so I will pick up 20 more, plus I think I will pick up a few bottles of kids suave shampoo since I just opened my last bottle of J&J baby shampoo.

I wonder what the Breyers price will be? Although I have a freezer full from a sale at Kuhns last week.

ETA my ad says save up to $4.89

So do we think the cereal is unlimited? I was thinking of getting 40 boxes and using my foodperks.

ccherrypicker called GE to find out about the cereal deal and it is unlimited. The ad shows examples up to 12 boxes and earning .45 a gallon. I would probably just stick with groups of 12 at the max though just because the way the ad is written.

Okay - not been paying attention - What is the cereal deal!!! lol

ETA: Nevermind - I figured it out!!!

Isn't there some Capn Crunch Q's out there that would make this a decent deal for them?

There are some cereal coupons on coupons.com

The best deal I could find was Cheerios and Cinnamon Toast Crunch coupons.

55c for Cheerios (original - yellow box) doubled to $1.10
60c for Cinnamon Toast Crunch doubled to $1.20

    It allows you to print out 2 coupons of each totalling -- $1.10 x 2 = $2.20
    $1.20 x 2 = $2.40
    $2.20 + 2.40 = $4.60
    $10.00 - $4.60 = $5.40

$5.40 for 4 boxes of cereal isn't too bad considering that's a saving of nearly 50% of the original cost, plus there's the 15c BONUS fuelperks. But that's if you like those 2 flavours of cereal...

I think it beats those $1/2 coupons..or $1/1, then again, we like both kinds of cereals, so it works out good for us.

I have to get some CTCrunch - DS#1 had about a hissy when he found out the last box was gone…. I told him to eat the AJacks or FLoops, but he wasn't having it…errrrr…. lol

I still have the $3/3 peelies and I think they were good on any size (have to double check)

    12 = $30
    - 4x $3/3 =$18
get $.45 in Fuel Perks x 30 gallons for DH truck = $13.50 in free diesel

    Not bad….

Ok I am a total newbie, I just started using flyers and coupons to save money on groceries. So here is my newbie question: Some items like pop say 3 for $8, *must buy 3, but other items like Hershey's Syrup say 5 for $10. For the syrup do I have to buy 5 to get the lower price? My assumption is that if it doesn't say "must buy (a number)" I don't have to buy the whole quantity. Am I right?
    Thanks!

Right! Do a search on this board for Shelf vs Sale price. Sometimes you don't have to by the full amount to get the OYNO cats. So if something is like 10 for 10 and by $10 and get xyz CAT..if it rings up at shelf price (not the 1 sale price ) you might not have to buy 10 items. This saves you even more money.
