QUESTION GIANT EAGLE – Q) What is with Lysol’s new $9.99 No-Touch Hand Soap System?

    Um, their selling point …

“Never touch a germy soap pump again.”

    Q) Okay … So what if I do touch a germy soap pump?

As soon as I use the soap from the pump to wash my hands, they are nearly germ free.

    Q) N’est pas?

I am sure that their focus groups brought up this thought.

    I guess higher ups prevailed.

This item retails at Giant Eagle for $9.99.

The $5.00 manufacturer’s cents off coupon ‘helps’ but for little old moi, ‘not enough.’

4 AA batteries are included (but batteries do need to be replaced eventually).

I bet the battery industry pushed for this product!

I will look for them in the close out (we are no longer carrying this item) shelf.

Haha, I bought 2 at Rite Aid this week, they're on sale for 7.50 - the $5.00 mq from the SS - a $1.00 Video Value store coupon = $1.50 (of course I mixed them in with other SCR items to get them free lol)

They're weird, and I totally don't get the whole "Never touch a germy pump again" tag line...stupidest thing ever. But the kids get a kick out of it, and I figure it looks better than the nasty pump we usually have on the back of the kitchen sink - my husband often comes home covered in grease, so my softsoap pumps don't stay white for very long.

The Green Tea & Ginger scent is nasty...although, I am really sensitive to scents, so maybe that's why it bothers me so bad. I haven't tried the cucumber one yet.

Supposedly they are very hard to try to refill yourself. Often they end up leaking and ruining the battery operated base- but I did hear that you can drill a hole in the top and refill it that way, instead of trying to pry off the cap LOL I got a few RCs from RA for them, so I may try different ways of refilling to see what works best....and I will be looking for the refills to be on clearance eventually! I doubt anyone would pay 10$ for the base, and $2.34 (I think that's what I saw last night at GE) for the refills....that's crazy!

The only 'plus' I could find (other than the novelty of it all for the kids) is that it would be handy for when you're trying to balance a peanut butter covered kid on your hip and need to get some soap with one hand ;)
