    QUESTION Special order ?'s

Since the Marcal paper towels were out at one of my stores, I asked for a raincheck or if I could order some-I got the raincheck and she left the "limit" line blank.

Who do I talk to to get a special order, for the paper towels or anything else in the future? The CS person/mgr/someone else?

Can I also do this for the yogurt-I'm certain it'll be out when I go later today?

Is there a limit, high or low, that you can order?

I only did a special order once and I just called and asked at customer service. They sent me to the 'front end manager' who put my order in for me.

They won't do special orders at my stores because our limit for doubling coupons per transaction is 4. Plus, they said they got burned in the past on a few. Bummer. :(

    Your best bet:

    • Have the full UPC for the product since it uniquely identifies that product (this prevents a misorder).

    • Boogie to the Customer Service Desk and tell them that you are here to put in a special order.

    • Hopefully the manager on duty will be called.

    • Tell them exactly what you plan on doing.

    I just did this today.

I picked up the 8 packs that they had for the paper towels and than hit CS with a request for a raincheck. I told them I had 60 q's and she called up the on duty manager. I told the onduty manager that I had coupons which made the paper towels free. The on duty manager told me she would special order in 24 for me. Also told me that they get trucks daily so it's possible that they will have more tomorrow. I plan on going back tomorrow and cleaning the shelves again and trying to get yet another rain check. I'm hoping to go late enough that I'll get another on duty manager.

I tried to get a raincheck for 40 today & was a no go. Would only give it to me for 10. I said ok so give me 4 rainchecks for 10 then. She still said no. I'm gonna drive the 20 minutes back to GE tonight if the rest of my coupons come in todays mail.

Parmatown GE has very nice cs people as well as the brookgate store. i have never had an issue with anyone giving me any sort of attitude, they are just wonderful ladies! i think that is terrible to limit the rainchecks, if they had 40 in the store, you could have bought 40, are they NOT going to let you buy them????i understand setting and POSTING limits on items(i dont like it, but i understand) but i have never been told i bought too much stuff, my money is green and spends everywhere.......sorry pittsgirl, hope you have better luck with the next cs person

I never made it back up to get another raincheck. Oh well! I had to take a survey for that location & made sure I wrote all about it. I was ticked because she pretty much said that if they had them I could have bought however many I wanted. But because of the coupon making them free, the limit was 10 on the raincheck. I was on my lunch & did not have time to argue. This is the first time I've had a problem at that store.

At my GE I asked about how many coupons I could use?
Manager: "How many do you have?"
    ME: "I don't know, a lot?"
Manger: "Then a lot is good..."

I mentioned I didnt want to clear the shelves because I hate that. He said just ask to order them. If we are out get a raincheck. The only limit is if there is a limit on the item. This was Crafton/Ingram (Pittsburgh).
At the Cochran road location, if something is 10/$10 they give a limit of ten. on the 2/$4 that they gave me during the speech about limits there NO limits on that one. I brought both back. I got ten of one both items, no problem on either.

I have ordered Nesquick because our store doesnt put out a lot. I ordered 48 and they got them for me. I had a rain check, no limit, and 48 coupons.
I ordered paper towels. I talked to another manager that day. he said he would order enough cases to get me the 18 I wanted. He said clear the shelf and I will just have them refilled. He said by me telling him that he could order enough so the shelf would not be clear very long. I told him I had coupons making them free and he had no problem with it.

Now today at Wags the clerk I thought was going to spit an RR out her mouth she was so mad. I got water and it was on sale. Then a pepsico $10 RR print out and she was MAD. She said you get stuff so cheap we are going to go out of business - this after I bought FOUR of the items of the month for her to get credit!!
