Beer at Pgh Giant Eagles

So I think DH now has a reason to shop with me because I told him that two of my favorite GE's will be selling beer and he could have up to two while he eats at the cafe. He was pretty stoked! Too bad he won't be able to drink any since he doesn't have a coupon!!!

LOL, DH can't drink because of his medicine but I am sure that is a great way to get most men to the store!

The entrance and produce dept. near the cafe at the Washington GE was receiving a spit-shine and polish today while I was there. Beer sales begin tomorrow. Lots of corporate types hanging around.

For all of the readers from other states, this is even receiving TV news coverage in the Pittsburgh area because it is such a novelty for grocery stores to sell beer on this side of the state.

I just came from there about an hour ago. There were all kinds of suits wandering the prepared foods dept. I was like, "move the heck out of my way, already!"

I have lived in OH most of my life, except for the 22 months we lived in Cranberry. I will never forget the first time I shopped at the Cranberry GE, I walked that store 3 times looking for the beer display. Finally I asked someone and was enlightened. My DH got a huge laugh when I got home but he had not told me.

I'm really looking forward to the beer sales. I loved the huge beer selections we had in Texas, I'm sure this isn't going to be anywhere near the size but maybe it'll grow to a big selection.
