Giant Eagle ~ Question Did anybody else's Self-Checkout change amount of Q's?

I went to the GE on Belmont yesterday,(Youngstown/Liberty) and used the new checkouts for the first time. They have finally gotten smart, and taken the limit of off how many Q's you can use-there is none as far as I know. It took 10 of one for me.....

I use the self check out at my local Safeway (in Oregon). I think I crashed the computer one time. The supervising checker was pretty snotty cause I crashed it.. lol She said I should just go through the regular checkout line if I have that many Qs... BLAH! I love doing my own scanning!

The new self scanners in Boardman still limit to 2 like cpns-I crashed one last weekend (I had three like cpns and some that wouldn't scan, the cashier came over and started overriding them and the computer part froze on her.) They also have new screens up for the regular lanes and the screen is right by you and about 15 in monitor. I lie the old way-I could see easily what scanned and at what price-now I can't keep up with the cashier and the screen.Another good reason to self scan.

I despise that answer. I prefer the SCO b/c I am able to verify that items are ringing up the right price as I go rather than scanning down through a receipt.

ITA! SCO's are not express check out lanes! In fact they have Express SCO's for small orders!

Warren GE on Mahoning got new SCOs and they still limit to 2 like coupons. I always beep and flash. But when I use a human they either drop my coupons, forget to scan some, or make 2 piles: one scanned and one not scanned, then confuse which pile they scanned!

I like to scan then I can see the prices and make sure my coupons are coming off. I used a bunch of coupons a couple days ago and I flashed..the screen said something about exceeding %...I couldn't make it out. The guy had to come over and put the rest of my coupons in manually. And I didn't have an exorbitant amount!
