There is something to say about purchasing perishables.

    Meat is a goooood example.

The thing is that a perishable can good bad and that is not a good thing.

Yes, I know people own new freezers and some even have backup electricity generators but I find myself purchasing more and more non persihables.

It allows me to sleep real good at night.

So, when I shop (which I love to do), I am always asking myself if the product will give me glory or grief if I decide to purchase it.

Nothing like dealing with 30+ loaves of Sara Lee bread when they offered free item coupons in the Sunday inserts.

Much of that ended up being donated to the local food pantry ... you can only eat soooo much bread, n'est pas?

The last few months I have limited myself to CVS and GE with the occasional coupon used at WM or local grocer.

Also since building a nice stockpile I am not as anxious about getting to CVS every week especially since the manager will let me used expired ECB.
I only go crazy at GE when I can. I can't wait until I get my freezer then I'll go out shopping a lot less I think or just nice casual trips of normal amounts.

When I first started I went to every store, every week. Sometimes multiple times per week. Now I do GE and CVS weekly since they are my closest 2 stores. I will hit Wags, target, walmart, etc every other week to once a month depending on the RR's I have to roll. I will hit Kmart doubles if I am out when they are going on. I don't make a special trip like I use to, since they have enforced those new limits it just isn't worth the special trip to me.

I've definitely limited myself these days. I shop GE about 4-5 times per week depending on the sale (like with the Black-n-Gold buck items and the thirty billion transactions required - btw, does anyone know if you still have to split up the trans to get more than one?) I do CVS maybe once a month. I don't shop Wags or Walmart really anymore because - well, I hate WM and Wags is just a pain. I shop Target just because I like the store, but mostly for kids clothes and holiday items.

But just like most, I think, I use to hit every store and every deal I could - sometimes driving to three or four stores looking for the ECB/RR item. I burned out pretty quickly too. Of course after the 30th free razor who wouldn't! lol

I'm big on the Rite Aid SCRs but I have two Rite Aids right here in the neighborhood. I get lots and lots of moneymakers there and I get all my toiletries free. I do Wags if there are items worth bothering with and I do K-Mart doubles. The only grocery store where I deal chase is GE. However, since I'm limited to 4 identical coupons per day and the closest GE is 20 minutes away, I don't really do deals more than once per sale unless it's something worth driving back to the store to repeat. Otherwise I just make my one weekly trip worthwhile. The only other groceries we have here in Toledo are Meijer, Kroger and Aldi. I find all of their sales to be not as good as GE's, so I prefer to shop GE if I can.
