Giant Eagle: What time do the new deals (CATs, sales, etc) start on Thursday at a 24 hr store?

I often go shopping late at night after the kids are in bed. . .

If I go at 12:30 AM on Thursday, will the new deals reliably be going?

If not, then when?

At my 24 hour GE (washington), they activate the sale prices at 10 pm on Wed. night. I'm not sure the ONYOs are activated until midnight though. I haven't tried that one.

From what I have experienced and what I have read ...

Advertised store special 'should' kick in as Wednesday turns into Thursday (the start of a new sales week).

What really happens is that there can be a 30 minute 'delay.'

I have read that Catalina sponsored OYNO promotions can take a bit longer.

What I would do is have your store advert at the ready for any item(s) that do not ring up at the sale price.

- and / or -

Have the cashier scan just one sale item to see if it comes up as the sale price.

One time I did wait 30 minutes for the B1G1F sale to kick in on L'Oreal Kids shampoo.

I tried at 12:30 am and voilà, the sale price did kick in.

I asked at my store and was told that they don't start the new day till about 2:30am Thursday.

thats interesting. I wonder if the sales from the week before are active until 2:30 or if for 2.5 hours nothing is on sale? hmmmmmm
