QUESTION Giant Eagle: Fuel Perk Rx Transfer Q

Did I miss something? Has GE stopped putting out the $1 off fuel prescription coupons? Are they all store specific now?

The Columbus, OH Giant Eagles all had the $1 coupon during the month of June as part of some promotion to drum up sales. I don't know if they will continue it through July though. They say in bold lettters "only redeemable at columbus giant eagles" but I think other giant eagles still accept them lol

those Columbus people get all the good stuff LOL.

I asked at my store why Columbus always gets everything first and they said the market there is tougher and they are trying to win over more customers

"Due to its demographics, which include a mix of races and a wide range of incomes, as well as urban, suburban, and nearby rural areas, Columbus has been considered to be a "typical" American city, and has been used as a test market for new products by retail and restaurant chains.[52] However, newer studies suggest that Columbus may no longer accurately mirror the U.S. population as a whole.[53]"

lol I gotta love wikipedia. But yeah, I think a major reason Columbus is spoiled is because they are trying to compete against kroger's since they are nearly identical and both try to lure shoppers with fuel perk programs. Walmart is competition for giant eagle but they don't have gas stations (at least not the ones in Col, OH), their stores are much larger and no drive-through windows in pharmacies.
