I bought a few- haven't had a chance to use them yet - for some reason, I have a ton of ziploc baggies
ETA: I have never heard of anyone putting bananas in a baggie:shrug7:
I never used the Green Bags I have heard people talking about mainly because fruits/veggies don't last long enough in my house to turn bad, but decided since these were $.50, why not give them a shot. I love them! I put the extra bananas I bought in them on Sunday and they still look like I just brought them home! Just wanted to share that with anyone looking for an alternative brand to the more expensive ones. They are on EPR this week 2/$4.00 with the $1.00 blinkie or insert Q they will be $1.00 - still not a bad price for how well they have kept my fruit!

Don't know where you got all those Ziploc's at! lol!!!
I never put bananas in a bag either, but on the box it was mentioned so I thought I'd give it a go! I put a clean/dry papertowel in with it to absorb the moisture too. I only have one banana left in the bag and it still looks really good - starting to brown just a slight, but still great for how long its been here.
wow!! I'll have to try that. I usually buy the bag of bananas at GE for .99 (it's usually 3 lbs or more) and have to throw some out
Wow, this is a great tip. I will have to try it! Reps to you!
Thanks for the review! I have always been skeptical of these but now maybe I will give them a chance. They'd probably be good to keep bananas in when you take them in a lunch sack because they tend to get mushy quickly in a lunch sack... and I don't know if it is just me, but if I stick a banana in my bag, then everything else tastes like a banana!![]()
Seriously I never recommend products because perceptions vary, but I couldn't help myself with these, especially for the price. Here is the last banana I had (put in bag on 5/17) I think it looks pretty darn good for over a week old!
I bought 2 of them but haven't tried them yet.. and they were 2/3 at my store..

I am such a doofus! No, I didn't buy them. I *thought* maybe you had typed hefty instead of ziploc cause they said something about fresh on them (and I had a ton of them).
But, today when I went to GE, they had Hefty on sale 2/$4 (thru 6/10) and I saw those green boxes of hefty and realized my mistake. I bought 2 because I had some .55/1 q's with me and quickly rushed home and switched the bananas to the hefty bags (I put mine in ziploc LOL).
They finally put the blinkie machine above the hefty too ($1/1)
