Should I plan for the whole day or if I get there late will I miss out on a lot of things? Do you need the whole day to see everything? I know these are a lot of questions to ask but I want to get the most out of my first experience. Thanks for any help from those of you who have been there before. | They will give you plenty of bags. You don't really need a cart unless you're staying until the end and want to get as much as you can LOL. There will be samples to take home and plenty of food/drink to have there. I went early last year and got a lot of stuff that was gone by the time neeky got there. I left early and tranquilmama wound up with a ton of stuff at the end of the day (and she also won a sugardale ham - she didn't have to bring it home with her LOL).
You can get your hand stamped and go in and out as many times as you want. There are stores around there so you could leave to shop at other places. There will be places to sit down at the event so you won't be standing all day.
It's not really big but, you do your money's worth IMO.
For those trying to win sugardale tickets - I got an email saying they don't have anymore.

| Re: Good Taste Pittsburgh, Saturday, 11/7/09 Wish I could go:sad: Besides the coupons & samples, I would love to see Duff from Charm City Cakes in person. I get to spend the day baking cupcakes & cleaning house instead.
I tried to win tickets cuz you know then I would have been obligated to go . Oh well! |

| Re: Good Taste Pittsburgh, Saturday, 11/7/09 Any Pittsburgers know how far away the food show is to a mall on McKnight road? My mom doesn't know the name of it but would like to go there. The other place she likes is Steinmart but she thought it would take us a while to get there. Any ideas how long it would take us to get to either place? Sorry, I don't know the name of the mall. She just said it is a very pretty mall :=)

And thank you to whoever posted that Duff Goldman was going to be there. You just made my day. |

It's not a harsh ride to get to the North Hills - 30-35ish minutes, if you hit it just right. I'm not sure if there's construction going on on the Parkway or not this weekend. Even so, it hasn't been bad this year. [Unlike last year, when I didn't want to leave Monroeville.] |

| Re: Good Taste Pittsburgh, Saturday, 11/7/09 ok, i am bumming....i'm not going. i didn't realize how far away the malls and stuff were and after driving around 2 hrs to get there, to drive another half hour / hour to get to the malls is just too much. all of the time and gas $ isn't really worth it. plus, my mom and dad are going to P-burgh next Sunday for a dr appt, so she will get to go to her malls then. she gets tired still from her stroke and i don't want to take her there just for this (i mean that in a nice way - she's not a couponer and not into cooking too much).
So, after all of my questions, I thank you all SO much. Maybe you all could post some pics of each other and the different booths for those of us who aren't going. I would love to see them! I'll post a pic of me cleaning my house in the am and then going to Johnstown in the afternoon - without any kids! DH already promised to keep them for me to go to the show.
If anybody sees any good Qs that you would like to share <hint hint!>, I would be more than happy to pay for postage!!!!!
