Aww...I wish I had known. I was trying to find HCW people earlier to no avail. Yep...I was sooooo pooped by then and couldn't bend over to pick her up if my life depended on it. Isaac is great with her, eevn though he was kinda pooped himself. Must have been to much for him though as he is still in bed today and had a fever of 102. He mentioned in the car on the way home that he didn't feel good, but that was the first time all day that he mentioned it.

Isaacsmom, we must have been in line together!! I was literally the second one in line when they stopped selling tickets! AAAH! I was there with my mom and my 7 yr old daughter. She had on jeans, black shoes and a purple long sleeved shirt w/ a pink jacket over it and has light brown hair with it up in a ponytail. I had on jeans, a long black sweater with a grey shirt under it and sunglasses on my head (blonde hair). How awful we were so close to each other w/out knowing it!

It was my first time to this and I was really disappointed. Some people are so rude, there didn't seem like there was any kind of organization whatsoever. I was hoping to have a lot of fun since it was my birthday and the first time I didn't have any my 3 kids for the first time in almost a year. My husband and I were there for maybe 30 minutes and I couldn't stand getting hit into and pushed and people cutting in line. It was ridiculous. It would have been nice to hear some of what the vendors were talking about and trying to sell, but if you didn't move with the line when it started you pretty much got pushed with it. It's nice to get samples and to try different foods, but not the way it was there. Hopefully next year they will learn and try to organize a little better, maybe limit the number of tickets, something to make it better than what it was.

Just a thought. I noticed there are 3,223 views of the post on the Good Taste Pittsburgh show. I wonder if all the lurkers showed up in Monroeville on Saturday. I didn't see it advertised anywhere.

There was a commercial on last week to advertise it so I imagine that brought a ton of people. (esp when ment the guests there)

I think my husband and I got in just in time before they closed the doors, but even then it was so packed you could hardly move. I'm not one to push or shove, so my husband led the way most of the time. I don't know how you guys did it with the strollers and kids. I like to think I'm a patient person, but that was just crazy how some of the people were. I too would see a group of women and wonder if they were HCW members. Good thing there was shopping close to the convention center, that way the whole day wasn't a loss.

I got a phone call yesterday - I won a cookie bouquet from Legacy Remodeling LOL.

We're doing a food run to Erie (nephew and roommates are out of food LOL) and plan to give it to my nephew (my son doesn't eat cookies)

After talking to my friend who went with me on Saturday - she reminded me that I kept saying I heard my name called (Denise). I kept looking around trying to make eye contact and striking up conversations with people around me but, couldn't figure out if someone was calling me or not LOL

Ha! That was probably me 'stalking' you!!! LOL I couldn't believe the nerve I had asking people about being HCW members or if they were Denise!!! One of these days we will all meet up.

My mom was a sales rep for quite a few years and she said she would take me to one of the local food shows when they have it b/c the Good Taste P-Burgh was the exact same thing. I might have to hold her to it! Of course, if I get extra goodies, I know where to share them
