DD3 Fresh Turkeys reduced to .75 or .79/lb at Giant Eagle

Went tonight and got a fresh turkey for $8.80 (11.xx lbs). They are reduced to .75 or .79 a lb. They also have the Farmland, Hillshire Farm spiral, etc, hams reduced to $1.89 a lb. I already have a couple hams that I got for .99 a lb @ 2 months ago in the freezer (Smithfield Paula Dean hams that are absolutely delicious according to everyone that's eaten them - I don't like ham).

I plan to go back tomorrow morning and get 1 or 2 more (for the unilever rebates) and stick them in my sister's freezer. I would have gotten them tonight but I don't have any freezer space.

Which explains why I'm cooking a turkey at 11:30 at night

At the Twinsburg, OH location on Tuesday they were .59¢ a pound. I couldnt bring it home. I still had too much ham in the fridge from Sunday and no room in my freezer.

Today I was at another location less than 20 miles away - the fresh turkey was being marked down to .99¢ a pound. Who could buy it after I could have had it for .59¢?

I have never seen such wide differences between stores as I have this week - the pb eggs six packs anywhere from .99 cents to $2.22

Which store did you find them? The Bethel Park store's butcher said they've been long gone since they were clearanced after Easter...

They are at the South Hills Village GE - there were still some there last night (I bought another one and stuck it in my sister's freezer)

Thanks! I'll take a look tomorrow morning, hopefully they'll still have a few...

Got a frozen butterball for $.99/lb. at South Hills Village. Worked out to $19.85, just below the $20 they'll cover!
