QUESTION Need some suggestions

Two items that I always have difficulties finding for less than full price are 1) rice milk and 2) whole grain pasta (any brand). Does anyone have suggestions on how to get these? I can't seem to find rice milk Qs anywhere, and any pasta Qs seem few and far between. I have seen Barilla ones in the past, but then can't seem to match them up to a sale at GE or other places that double Qs. Thanks!

Have you tried to contact the manufacturer and request coupons or to be put on the mailing list? I know that is how a lot of people get Qs. I called Birdseye last week to ask a question and while I was on the phone I asked for coupons to be sent. They sent me 6 .50/1 on any frozen veggie! We use a ton of them so this was great HTH!

I'm speaking off the top of my head here without looking in the pantry but I know not too long ago there were Dreamfield pasta c/os out and I got some at Giant Eagle on sale. I am pretty sure they are whole grain because I do remember I paid for it rather than getting it free or near free and I usually don't do that otherwise. Also, I know one other time I got a bunch of whole grain pasta cheap (w/o c/os) out of the Natures Basket section when GE had some stuff on clearance. It was on the regular shelf, just with a clearance tag - the dates were very good on it, I think they were just discontinuing it.

I can't help with the rice milk because we don't drink that. My husband likes chocolate soy milk occasionally and generally we find the best price on that in the 360 brand at Whole Foods. At least here at the Cleveland Whole Foods I've seen some of the prices on their store brand stuff really come down - I haven't been to the Pittsburgh one in a while to know if they have too or not or if it is just here. I only get over there once a month or so but if it would help you and you want me to look send me a PM and I can let you know as I will probably go next week or the week after.

I bought some $1/1 Dreamfields from an aution here. Now I'm just waiting for a great sale. I did the same thing when the Smart Taste $1/1 coupons came out.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. After going through some coupons today for the weekly shopping, I did notice a coupon for Ronzini pasta (though not one I'd use), so I guess I just need to look a little harder for the whole grain pasta ones. The rice milk is hard to find though, I took MJKNEeley's advice and emailed them - who knows, maybe they will send out a few coupons? PK_OH, thanks for offering to take a look, I never shop there but I will check it out the next time I'm in Shadyside.

Whole Foods also has coupon books sometimes so look as you go in. They also have case pricing at least here - where you get a discount for buying a case of something, I believe it's 10% - if that helps. The cashier told me about it last time I was over there stocking up on broth - I got it even though all mine werent the same flavor.

Also you might want to check out the East End Food Coop which is not too far (couple miles) from Whole Foods. It's almost at the corner of Penn Ave. and Braddock Ave. where Point Breeze meets Wilkinsburg. Their prices and atmosphere have improved significantly since Whole Foods came to town. You do not have to be a member to shop there and they have sales and also coupon books. I believe the pricing model is that non-members pay shelf price and members get a discount off shelf but ask if you go they are very friendly. They also offer case discounts.

Hey, it worked! Rice Dream sent me (3) $.55 DND MQs that start with a 5!

Then there are manufacturers that state in their CONTACT US webpage that they do not give out coupons when people contact them.

Rice Dream has a printable out at tastethedream.com. It is for 75c off and from what I know it does not say DND!
I printed 2 here and two at the MIL's and my mom will print me two off. I am going to try to convince the husband to print some at work... rice milk is expensive but the alternative is goats and that's more expensive and harder to find!
