Giant Eagle ~ Catalina: $1 off Cut Fresh Fruit

I have no idea what triggered this. I bought toothpaste, toothbrushes, Campbell's soup, toilet paper, OJ, fruit juice, pudding, cereal, cookie mix, Cheerios snack mix, Lean Pockets, and Fresh Express salad. Received Cat for $1 of Farmer's Market fresh cut fruit.

I got it three times. Each time I had fresh express salad and fresh cut fruit in my order. I just kept rolling it with the fresh cut fruit sale and there were cups with $1.00 Store peelies on them. Making for some cheap fresh cut fruit.

I kind of figured it was the salad mix that did it. Sometimes the store has their own peelies on stuff and I have a manu Q too. Can you use both? I never tried; I just assumed it was one or the other. Like last week I saw some Bob Evans sausage that was getting close to expiring with a $1 off peelie on it plus I had a manu Q.

I always use both the store peelie coupon and mc. They are two totally different things.

Some stores mark their going out of date products this way and some re-price them with a scanning barcode.

My store WILL NOT allow the use of both. It is one or the other.

My store keeps the original barcode but then adds a yellow peelie. I almost bought something but wasn't sure if I could scan the peelie and my Manu Q. It seems you should be able to use both cuz the peelie is just knocking down the price due to the item being old. I notice peelies on the salad stuff alot. I'll give it a try one day...what the heck.

I need salad mix but, since there haven't been any blinkies for Fresh Express out there since the end of 2008, I've been buying it at Aldi's (.99 a bag)
