She was VERY rude, but never actually raised her voice. She just kept repeating the same thing about how I was taking advantage and they would NOT take the coupons under any circumstances (only one per visit). She actually had a smirk on her face and was on a power trip big time (like this is my store and you you NOT get a bargain lol). But since her neck was all red, I could tell she was doing all she could do to not yell. When I presented all the facts of the coupon wording and how she had it wrong about the previous baby deal is when she wanted me out of the store. In fact another cashier (a young girl who helped we with the baby deal) gave me a high five when my $10 cat popped out and proved the same manager wrong. So I think she might treat the employees the same way?

I just thought of another question. Does GE pay for the cats or is the manufacturer? Because she acted like I was ripping the store off. Almost every time I go in there a certain group of cashiers find each other and start whispering while I shop lol. I know they've been waiting to "catch" me committing coupon fraud cause they always make it a group activity when I check out. They examine each coupon and vote on it before scanning I've always ignore since that store is closer than the other two in Warren. But after last night, it was the last straw. On the other hand they have a couple cashiers that are really nice and actually get excited when my OOP is just cents. So I'll have to give them credit when I talk with the DM.

In my grocery store experience, calling around to customer service places is successful only 50% of the time. I feel your best bet for satisfaction is to show up at the store (it would have to be between 9-5pm) and ask to speak to the store manager (I'm under the impression that you didn't speak to the actual store manager, just someone acting for him, or the "front end manager" who is actually just the person who supervises the cashiers, and isn't very high up in the manager chain {i know, since i was a front end manager for 5 years}). The "real" store manager should be able to take care of you, especially since you are actually in the right. If that fails, then ask the store manager for his supervisor's (ie the district manager) contact information, and let him know that you do not intend to let this situation go away.

Most people will actually "cool off" when the leave the store, so they count on you not actually calling customer service. Its always better to talk to someone in person, that way you can have immediately satisfaction, and not have to wait for someone to send you an apology.

I am not saying the manager was right in this case but even when I started reading your post I thought you're trying to scam them by applying the cat you earn on an order to that order-why else would you do it that way and make more work for your self? (and know why but it does look funny.) PLUS IT is the person in charge of the Pay cashier that is always the one who thinks the line on there pay check for FICA deduction stands for "From Insane Coupon Abusers."

I do multiple orders all the time, and I mean 10+. I used to do them at the u-scans but since they started beeping when your OOP gets too low and all of the cats beep I quit. I just find a young boy or girl (but the boys are better) and tell him "I have separate orders. here is my cash and every time you get to a bar cash me out and give me the receipt. My coupons will be on top of each order." And I hand him a $20 and fill the belt with my orders. (sometimes if it is small orders I grab a few bars from a closed aisle) Any time someone gets behind me I tell them flat out "I will be a while and I usually cause problems so you may want to go to another lane" The boys believe you if a coupon beeps if you know how to do it. They will do anything to to not have to deal with the crabby Head cashier.

I went to self scan since I was splitting up so many orders. If I had used a 3$ cat on my FIRST order, it would have been a scam, because it clearly states ONYO. So when I paid her for my first order, I gave her my $1 q from the mitchum deal (last weeks coupon). Then on each consecutive order, I wanted to give her a $3 cat from the previous order. They said the self scan will beep if I scan any q over $2, so that is why I hit pay cashier each time, rather than have them walk over 6 times to scan their scan and out it in for. It's easier to just bring my $3 cats over there and pay everything. It was no different than me being at a regular register, buying the 4 items, paying for them with a 1$ cat from last week, plus cash. Then the $3 cat spitting out, and use it on my next 4 items that I had separated, then rinse and repeat. Their problem (they said)was that I was suppose to NOT use them on the same visit period. The other manager said they are meant to bring customers back to the store, hence the reason we can't use more than one a day, period! Which doesn't go along with what the coupon actually states.

LIKE I SAID I get why you did it that way but it looks funny. You wouldn't have had a problem if you went to a regular cashier.

I think is one of those employees that is on a mission to "bust" every smart coupon user. After all, we should only go in there to buy things for full price ya know lol!

I guess I was just trying to be nice. They only had 3 regular checkouts open and one was the fast lane. The other two had cashiers who had given me problems in the past, plus other customers get all bent out of shape when the person in front of them takes so long. So when I saw a bunch of open self scans, I figured I could take my time with no one behind me (which I did lol). But the manager thought the same thing about it looking fishy, she even asked why I went to self scan and did so many transactions. Which I told her because the toothpaste deal will only spit out one cat whether I buy $10 worth, or $50, so I need to only do $10 each transaction to get all my cats.

I never understand why some employees care what deals others are getting.

having said that, I would have made a separate trip for each transaction. There is nothing they could say.
