Default $25 mail in rebate

Has anyone seen this? I happened across it when I stopped at customer service (since my catalinas hadn't printed). It was a 3x5 care that said $25 rebate when you purchase $50 excluding a few things (like pharmacy purchases, etc). Anyway, the offer was through miller light but said that alcohol purchase wasn't required. I skimmed the back and didn't see anything out of the oridnary. It didn't say if it was cash back or credit to GE or what. Just curious if anyone knows anything about this.

Many times, when strolling down the beer aisle of a grocery store or at a convenience store, one will find similar tear pads at a display or on the cooler door.

+

Each state has different laws regarding alcohol and tobacco promotions (they are strictly regulated).

So, it is importart to identify which state the offer is being made (and what other states are eligible for the offer).

Many times, an alcohol beverage is not requried, instead complimentary items like snacks or store merchandise is required.

+

Read / understand / follow all the terms of the offer and you will be rewarded with a rebate check (most of the time).

+

Make and keep copies (I scan instead of copy) of all submitted paperwork / items.

I wish PA would have beer/wine in the grocery stores....seems like there are some really good beer and wine rebates that don't require purchase of alcohol, but aren't good in PA coz of the liquor laws. Are we the only state still like this??

Liquor can not be sold in grocery stores in Maryland. I find it strange when I visit other states that allow it. We have to go to a liquor stores to buy it. Ocassionally there are liquor/deli stores that do but I think those are ones that are really old businesses and established the lincense many years ago.

Yep, each and every state has their own set of laws, especially with alcohol and tobacco items, which are heavily regulated items.

Just like sales tax.

Here in Cuyahoga County (Cleveland, OH), the current rate is 7.75%.

We do not pay sales tax on food to go (at restaurants).

+

One may have a lower sales tax rate but what happens many times is more items are taxable.

So, it kind of evens out.

There are a few that come out that are good in PA. However, I've never seen them in a store in PA. Being that you can't buy liquor in the grocery stores, they don't have them. I generally don't go into liquor stores, so I'm not sure if you can find them there. Especially since they're state stores. Maybe someone else has seen rebates in the PA liquor stores?

I still have some rebate forms for $25 MIR when $100 in groceries are purchased. If anyone wants some PM me. 13 states do not need alcohol purchase (PA is one of them) and the other states require a 12 pack of heineken.
