check your 6/8 SS (mine had the LOL eggs on the other side and on the same page as the lysol - .75/1 brut and .55/1 brut) - both the PG and trib had them

I traded for a q for the water (unfortunately only got 1 - I would have liked more LOL)

Here is a relatively stupid question that I should probably know the answer to:

If I'm getting a taxable item for free (for example, the Mitchum deodorant) do I still end up paying tax for the item? TIA

yes

but in my state if my coupon double I dont have to pay the tax on half the coupon amount

example item is $1 so $1.08 with tax
-.50/1 coupon
-.50/1 coupon doubled
= .04 tax

dont know why but thats the way it works here

Yes is not really the correct answer here. It depends on your state. Some places deduct the tax for the money saved. You have to go and find out

Not sure if this will work at everyone's giant eagle, but my powerade coupons doubled to $1.50. I have no idea why, since the powerade's rang up as $1.

So I bought 15 for $15, $5 came off automatically, then I used 10 coupons for .75 off each which took off $15. I NEVER EVER get overage at giant eagle. This is literally the first time. Their computer systems are good at catching this. Plus the powerade caps have mycokereward points on them.

Even without the overage i think this is a good deal. It helps make your q's go a lot further. You get 15 powerades with every 10 coupons.

Yep, those Powerade q's doubled to $1.50 the same day those q's were in the paper. I was surprised when my total was a lot less than I was expecting.

I'm making a run to GE in the morning to get 30 more Powerade's.

the only time mine have doubled to $1.50 is if the cashier rings up the the powerade as one item (15 @ $1) - I didn't get overage though - the last 3 q's beeped and the cashier gave me my 3 q's back. If they are scanned individually, the coupon doubles to $1 only.
