I don't have nearly as many coupons as you do but I am organized...

1. I seperate all coupon books from the papers. I throw the papers away.
2. Each book gets that Sunday date marked on it with a bold black marker.
3. I take one of each coupon book that came in that Sunday and I tyupe all the coupons in an Excel Program. It keeps it organized and the CONTROL + F feature makes it easy to find them in the program.

If you want, I am e-mail you my excel program so you can see how I do it.

I hope that this helps a little.

I keep my coupons organized in labled envelops, and I store my uncut coupons in a regular folder.

I am new to the whole coupon thing. Do you all really get enough of them that you actually have a filing system?? I must have been really missing out.

I just have a binder with baseball card inserts. This is the way my friend does it, and it works great for her. they are also organized by type of coupon, dairy, hair products etc. It's a quick way to find the coupons and keep them all together

OK so I was excited about the envelope ideal and started it but I want to tape the cover of the insert to the from cause I need a visual, I think I am going to get a big 3 ring binder and get page protectors and put them in there with a sticker with the date how many inserts i have of that date and what good coupons are in there and then in the binder in date order

I finally figured out a system that works for me. I was using an expandable file folder to hold my uncut inserts but I QUICKLY outgrew it. Things got really chaotic. I went to Staples and picked up to simple file crates. They were $4.99 each. I also got some hanging file folders. I'm filing by date and using post it notes on the hanging file folder to mark the date. I'm keeping the inserts on the back seat of my car. I know that may sound odd, but I go shopping on my way home from work and my car is where I use my coupons. So, it works really well for me. :)

HI Re: Organizing / Storing Your Uncut Inserts

Perfect thread for me I was just wondering what to do. I have been couponing for a while now, but just this weekend bought 9 papers. I don't want to cut that many it will fill up my box. So I think I'm going to try a combo of clipping 2 and filing whole inserts in a hanging file box with manilla folders. Thanks so much everyone for helping me!

I bought a plastic container that holds files! I love it! I date the tabs 5/18 RP etc and just look at a glance and pull the file cut what I need and put the file back!

I would love to get a copy of the Excel spreadsheets that have been mentioned on here. I'm unable to PM at the moment (lack of posts :). I used to use the baseball card inserts in the binder, but it took me so much time to cut coupons (even stacking) and then file them all. And now that I have two kids shopping with me, there is nowhere to put my huge binder while I shop! I am thinking that I might have to forget shopping for deals once in the store and just be happy with finding the deals at home and taking the coupons I need for said deals. Getting a lot of good ideas from here. Thanks!
