I clip what I KNOW I will use and then I clip what I will probably use, then I will file the rest until I need them or trade them or they expire.

That was really what I wasnt sure about. I know for a fact that I will buy Spam for example, with or without a coupon so I didnt know if the people who clip them all, would clip that to share or give away or if they just have a fondness for clipping! lol!

I keep mine in a crate a file, weekly. I pull and clip the pages together of q's I always use and file the rest. As a sale comes up and I need to go back to clip....I cut out everything on the pages I've pulled and go ahead and put them in my binder...because I'm already there. Clipping, sorting and filing is time consuming...esp when I've got 3 kids, 5 dogs, 15 ducks, etc!!!! LOL. Hope I've helped!!!!

If you are a clipper then clip what you know you will use and what you might use. But...save the rest and list them for trade so that you can get MORE of the coupons you will use while someone gets what you wont use.

There are some coupons that no one ever wants...and you will see that trend once you start trading (some off the top of my head are "old people coupons" arthritis meds, denture cream, depends...although once in a while someone will want those...)

(no offence to our elderly members, just making an observance)

But the coupons you won't use might just be a hottie to someone else (there are people that like Spam out there!) and you never know if Spam will be a money maker and you may buy it because you can use your overage on other things and you can always re-sell or donate the Spam to someone else.

As you can tell from the other posters not everyone clips thier coupons, many leave thier inserts whole and use the coupon database to recall which insert the coupons came out in.

I don't clip until I need to. I keep two 3-ring binders that hold my inserts and I use the monthly separater tabs to sort them. One binder holds my Red Plum inserts and the other binder holds my Smart Source & P&G inserts. I then keep all like pages together from the same insert. I normally have 4 or 5 of the same inserts each week.

Default Re: Organizing / Storing Your Uncut Inserts

does anyone have a coupon database in excel that they would like to share.

Now that I am stockpiling and trading Q I have decided to convert from binder method to filling my inserts.

PM me if you have one you would like to share

thanks
