Just curious... how many trips do you make to stores in a week?

sinic i live close to all the stores,when ever i feel the need to go,i do tried to stop to difffrnt stores going and coming to work , sinic i start driving back to work.so it is about 15 a week

I have been going 5-7 times a week to build my stockpile. However that will be cut back as I use things up.

I am intimidated by you ladies! I started clipping coupons two weeks ago. Before that I would go to Costco once every 3 weeks. I would go to Safeway for what I needed probably every other week. Maybe my hubby would stop by the store to buy milk, coffee creamer and bread once in a while. I would not bother to look at the prices because food is not a luxury. I do not enjoy shopping for clothes that much either. I'm a homeschooling mom that likes stay home plus I'm concerned about making the 12 to 15 mile drive with today's gas prices. I try very hard to combine trips.

My mom and sister told me about MOD EDIT: *another site* and since I try to be sensible about every other area of our finances, decided to give coupon clipping a try. Its hard work I tell ya! I've only managed to save about 40% on my food items so far. I've done much better at Rite-Aid and Walgreens considering their better than free items with rebates. I have tried to go to two stores in a trip and have made two trips per week. I just don't know how you manage to not let this take over your life AND get the 70-80% savings I've seen reported here! I'm sooo green! And by that I mean envious and a newbie. I'm still wondering if I will be in the green in the future!

Gahh! Me too!!!!!!!!

Every time we went, my ds would shout "NO MORE MOMMA! WE WERE JUST HERE!!!!" He doesn't like sitting in the shopping cart.

If I bring home any more free toothpaste, my husband is going to have me committed. (Though he was happy with all of the nice stuff I "bought" with my RR.)

Now I know why my stockpile has grown out of control:

Kroger 3 times/wk
Albertsons 3 times/wk
Walgreens 2 times/wk
CVS 2 times/wk
Target 2 times/wk
Tom thumb/Walmart once per 2 months.

I wouldn't have to do so many trips except Albertsons/Kroger limit the number of alike coupons you can double/triple, and walgreens/cvs have limited stock, so I usually have to go to another store to get everything I need.

I normally only go to our Krogers once or twice a week. However the past few weeks I've made some extra trips to The Pharm. They're going out of business so I've taken advantage of their 25-50% markdowns.

I am shopping much less than I did before I started couponing. I used to stop in at Walmart two or three times a week at least to pick up something for dinner [it's the only store within 15 miles] now I go to a larger city once a week and hit all the stores there, they also double coupons and run specials which Walmart never does. It's a longer drive but the savings are worth it. Since my pantry and freezer are full I'm never out of anything and I don't need to make an emergency run.

I shop wags, walmart, hyvee 1x/week, target 1x every-other-week, and cvs 2-3x/week since it is right down the street. I also hit goodwill once a week. The price of gas is outragious... i go to the gas station 1x/week too, but never have GAS COUPONS!!!

I seem to go just about every day to pick up something. Some days it seems I'm spending $100 every timme I walk in the store. I was at Harris Teeter three times, though, and saved over $150 and spent $57. It's triple coupon weekend, so I plan to go a couple more times before the weekend is over!
