Thanks
Start with the Sunday newspaper of the largest city near you. Nearly every Sunday (except Holiday weekends) newspapers have inserts (fliers about 8 x 11" that look like magazines) filled with coupons. Be aware some regions get different coupons that others. But start here. Keep these inserts. There may not be coupons you will use that week, but maybe later. Next match up the sales from stores like Rite Aid or Walgreens with the coupons you have. Visit the various forums on HCW where they match up the deals. Frequently toothpaste toothbrushes go on sale (Oral B, Crest, etc) and you can match the sales with the coupons.
I hope this helps. Hang in there! It WILL get easier!
I just joined after a few days of browsing and while I am probably not a lot of help, what I have been doing is opening the forums to the stores I am interested in and have just been reading. I am trying to soak it all in. Good luck!
HI, I'm Debbie and I am also new to this. I am reading, still confused, but will keep trying to figure this out. I do have a couple of questions....how do I find coupons for the stores in my area? Are double coupon days gone?
I'm new to HCW as well. I feel like I've been reading non-stop for about a week! I love all the information.
I started out by getting the Sunday paper to get coupons. I've also mailed companies that I buy products from and ask to join a mailing list ... have received some nice coupons. Also if you order samples from like Wal-Mart or anywhere they usually have a coupon attached.
In Houston Kroger doubles and triples. I am not sure what area you are from. I know there are lots of places that do not double. Check with the stores in your area. Or look at the Grocery forum and look for your stores. Someone in those threads can probably tell you.
Read, read, read. There are so many stickies that cover almost every question you could ever think of. Just spend as much time as you can reading and then pick a small deal to work.
