I still feel lost, but am taking baby steps and getting there. In a few months I'm sure we'll all look back and laugh at how confused we are. Good luck!

I am new here, too. We recently moved so I don't have anyone to ask for coupons. I have been buying on auction sites because I want in on CVS and Wags deals.

This site is amazing but overwhelming, to say the least!

Thanks for listening to a newbie whine.

My Kroger sells the double AJC for $2.50. I make sure that I check the circular racks in the lobby of the stores also. My MIL and SIL's save their ads for me and my mom and sister send me their Sunday ads weekly. If you can make nice with your local recycling site coordinator, they might save some ads for you as well.

I say start off slow. That's what I'm doing. I really got serious about couponing this month. I've been anticipating us going to a one income family for a while, but now it's here.

Don't get discouraged if you don't hit every deal for now.

And most of all, use the knowledge and support from the great people here at HCW.

Good luck and let's have fun learning to save money together!

I am just starting and a bit overwhelmed as well. I don't have too much time right now to read alot ... my DH and I are smack dab in the middle of buying his parents farm and I stay home with our two kids.... but I am surely addicted to a bargain and looking forward to learning the tricks of the trade from all you seasoned $$ savers :)

I also get easily over whelmed. I love to learn everything, but then somehow it all just gets jumbled up. I am going to try to start slowly, and work up to the more advanced stockpiling!!

HI Re: I'm so overwhelmed

I am too, a little discouraged. I tried to do a CVS thing, they had no items eft, next door at Albertson's, I had a $1 off coupon for Mambella bread, and it was on sale for $1, you guessed it, sold out. I went to Smiths and spent my usual $125, no coupons to use, but I did get a $10 rebate. I know I can do this. I am enlisting the help of my kids, even sending the hubby on errands who disdains of coupons! We will do it! ANd so can you!

So I get the jest of this whole couponing thing......But I just feel sooooo ignorant I guess is a good word! I am begging people for their newpapers insterts, I've even tried to talk my neighbors into giving me theirs......And when I went to buy a paper this weekend I came up empty handed. I'm going to order the paper so in the next few weeks I should get atleast one set of inserts......But I want to beable to get the mulitple coupons. I'm just frustrated because this is so overwhelming!!!

There are so many forums, I don't even know where to post my questions!

I keep reading about people doing multiple transactions when they are shopping. Why would you do this? Would this be in a case where you might be a CVS buying the limit on an item, and doing it for both your card and your husbands?

Does CVS not care if you do this, or is it on a store by store basis?
Don't feel bad...I am a little overwhelmed too. I have been couponing for years off and on but, this site does have a lot of forums. I think w/ time we will get the hang of it.

Can't speak for the CVS people(don't have one) but I have a Rite Aid and I do multiple transactions sometimes. For example a couple weeks ago they had Baby Magic(at least I think it was that brand) Body Wash on sale for FREE w/ a coupon. But it was limit one per customer...blah blah blah. So I just had them ring me up 2 different times. The only time I think they get annoyed w/ this is if they are busy.
