Default Re: am I really this dense?

start with one grocery store and or one CVS, get the feeling of doing deals down and then expand. You will find you are no longer intimidated by the whole site. there are areas of this site i have never visited and probably will not.

I actually started on another site... Which for me was a GREAT thing..LOL.. i was very dense.. but the other site was very very tame compared to this one...some days there are not 10 new trades to be listed... LOL.. but i think it goes to show that it really is true.. you need to start off small and work your way up...

If it gets to crazy, take a break.. then start again.. or just do one store at a time, like others have said....

hope it gets better.. and we are always here to help...

It is ALOT of info, especially when you're just starting out. What I would suggest is make sure you get the board rules down first, and then concentrate on ONE store forum and figure out how to work the deals in that store. I think getting the store policies down and what deals people are getting at the store helps people to understand the couponing process a little more, at least it did for me.

Just, start with your regular grocery store, cause if you start with like CVS there might be problems, as CVS is HARD to learn, lol.

I agree with LWW. Also just take your time. Deals will come around again. Don't feel you need to rush out and grab up the latest deal. Also, don't hesitate to ask questions. We are all here to help!

Agreed. You don't have to learn everything at once. Work on one store til you feel comfortable, then add to it. Take it one day at a time! There's no rush.

When I first started getting into coupons and looking at forums for hot deals, I found myself constantly going to stores almost daily, plus this involved reading the deal forums, looking up and matching insert and printable coupons. It got really overwhelming and started to take on a life of it's own, so I slowed down alot... I still love CVS, but I do not take advantage of every ECB deal they have, and I also was finding myself thinking " Sure it's a great deal, but do I really need all this to keep my household running?

Hitting "new posts" is the easiest thing for me & helped me to not feel so overwhelmed like I did when I first got here! If something is HOT, you'll see it in the first couple of pages!
