Easy deals if you don't have many coupons yet

Queenofthehivemomof5 started a thread like this awhile back, but people stopped posting so it got deleted. The idea was to post some simple deals for newbies who don't have a lot of coupons collected yet. There are several easy deals out there in my area so I figured I'd post them in one place.

Since a sale from a month ago isn't going to help newbies that join today, I'm going to try to keep this thread recent. All deals should be currently going on or no more than 2 weeks old so that the newbies can get at least the "idea" of what kind of deals to start out with.

I say go to Walmart and get their All You magazine. I find it good reading too with money saving ideas. But there's atleast some q's you can use in there right away. Like $1 off any Kotex, and you can 14-ct. Kotex $1.00 at Walmart. And I believe you can use the John Frieda q's they've been having out for trial sizes too. Plus, a good way to start your collection as well.

Ok here's one... the whole front page of the RiteAid Ad is freebies. Most involve a "single check rebate" though. so you're spending some money now. just thought i'd draw attention to it. Now i do have a question. Is that like a mail in rebate? but from the store? i was a little confused....

Yes it is a rebate from the store. You don't have to mail it in though. You can submit on-line. It's simple and easy. I don't remember all the details but I remember it's easy.

I always hesitate to put BOGO+BOGO deals in this thread since sometimes the cashiers don't understand, and I don't want to put any newbies in that situation. So be warned that this transaction may or may not go smoothly. You may want to read over this post to settle things in your mind first.

CVS week of 8/3: CoverGirl Clean, TruBlend or Aqua Smoothers (foundation, blush, powder, or concealer) are BOGO. In the 08-03 PG insert is a coupon for "Buy one CoverGirl foundation, get a complementary CoverGirl face product free". Choose one foundation from the sale and one other product from the sale (could also be foundation). The coupon will take off the price of your second product. The register will take off the cost of the lower priced item. If you choose same-price items, they will each work out to be free. If you choose items that are different prices, they won't be exactly free, but they'll be cheap.

Walgreens week of 8/3. Glade Fabric and Air Odor Eliminator is on sale $2.99. There's a $1.50/1 in the EasySaver catalog (page 19, available in the front of the store with the ads) and you can print a $1.50/1 coupon here: Save on Glade® products - Clean Home Journal™. Reminder: There's a misprint in the August EasySaver catalog. The coupons claim to expire on 7/26, but they do not expire until 8/30.

Meijer week of 8/3: Pert Plus 25.4 oz bottles on sale for $2.99. The 08-03 Smartsource has a coupon for $3 off this size.

Bonus if you are willing to do a rebate: Get two bottles of the shampoo and $5 in school supplies. Send in for the rebate (form is in 08-03 S) to get a $5 refund on the school supplies.

Publix (8/14-8/16): Hot/Lean Pockets on sale 6/$10. If your store takes Target coupons as competitor coupons, print $1/1 coupons from the Target generator (Go to the "Coupon Resources" tab at the top of your screen and from there select "Coupon Generator")
