QUESTION pay sites

When I first started couponing, about 6 weeks ago, I signed up for a web site that you pay for. I picked one of the higher priced stores in my area so I could have a reference point for prices. Does anyone recommend paying for coupon sites?

Absolutely not. HCW has all of the same information and more, free. You should never pay for deal info.

I did the same thing... I tried my $1 membership, thinking it would take more of the headache out for me, but to be honest with you, I really didn't get much out of it. I found better deals here, and I stayed!

Welcome to HCW!

Not worth it IMO. Most of the "lists" will miss deals because they will not repeat coupons if they used them on a deal in the past even if the coupon hasn't expired. The message boards are also a little frustrating because everything is in "code".

It's kinda like those "Found Money" sites. They charge a "finder's fee", but you can get the same info for free if you look in the right places.

Well to be honest I used a pay site for almost a year before I found this place. After being here for a few months I decided with a little bit more work I would rather be here than pay someone what I could do myself. And now that I am here I find myself saving even more than before.

It's not worth it. But don't feel bad -- a lot of us got started like this! (Myself included.)

Welcome to the board you will love it here. There are some great posters, deals etc and it is not only free but so helpful and friendly. PS. one of the things about the pay sites is you don't get your deals , or lists:) until we have already had ours up for days, sometimes weeks etc....LOL What you save by not paying for a list you can put towards your newspapers, trading, or stockpiling.

I'm new here, but am also in my trial period at a pay site. So far, I don't like the way their lists come out. The timing is very inconvenient for me, and the grocery lists only give me a few days before the sales change. I don't plan to stay past my trial period.

HAPPY DANCE Re: pay sites

I also have thought about paying for sites when not to long ago I saw a program of TV for one. I sat down on the computer and ran into this site somehow and have been very happy with it and it's free. I have found alot of great info and people willing to help a newbie along with questions. I want all of you to know how much I appreciate all your hard work and sharing in on the deals with me. Thanks
