Re: Newbies ~ Post Your 1st Brag Ok, I think I did ok this weekend. I haven't had time to do the math, or take pics, but we have a side by side fridge & a stand alone freezer. There is no room to put anything else in the freezers or the pantry. Our local United had split chicken breasts for $.89 lb, regular $3.59 a lb. Got 4 packs. Took them home & there were 5 breasts in a pack. They also had cubed b/s chicken cutlets buy 1 get 1 free. I got 4 packs of those (4 in a pack, average of $5.00 a pack). HEB had lunchables 5 for $5.00, spareribs 5 lb for $5, chicken leg quarters 5 lb for $5. Their Colgate toothpaste was $1, and I had $.99 coupon, plus BOGO coupon.
Finally went to the local Albertsons. I don't go there much because they are so much more expensive when things are not on sale. But, they are the only grocery store in town that has blinkies, and tear offs. I spent $150 - but I received $81 in savings after coupons, BOGO, and sales prices. They had all of their McKormick spices 1/2 off (of course - I FORGOT my coupons for them LOL). I am going back this weekend to see if they are still 1/2 off. I stocked up this past weekend for it, but I want to see if their saffron is on sale. I don't use it that much because of the price, but since it is so expensive I can stock up while it is on sale. I bought some resusable bags so I also got the discount per bag at both United and Albertsons.
I also got the Glade MM from Target. I haven't filled out any rebates yet, but they are next on my list. Since I have a cat, I plan on going to Target this weekend for the MM on the cat litter. I also plan on going to CVS & WAGS for the sales there. Hubby is deployed, so I am really stocking up at this point. All I seem to eat anymore is cereal (which Albertson's had a killer deal on after the coupons).
I've always couponed, but since joining here, I have learned a WEALTH of information. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL OF YOUR POSTS!!! |
