Default Terrible Newbie problem! Need advice quick!!!

I'm brand new to the couping world - Up until 3 weeks ago I had never cut a coupon.

I've found myself in a Northern VA mid-rise with about 200 units in the building. We have 12 floors with two recycling bins on each floor.

There is a Harris Teeter grocery backed up to our building and they double coupons. There are two CVS's within two blocks; A giant food grocery 4 blocks away, Safeway is about 3 minutes from here and Walgreens is a few miles away.

The sheer horrorrrrrrrrrrr of it all is just starting to hit me and I'm overloading!(smile)
What should I do????!!

On my first coupon purchase I picked up a roll of paper towels and three cans of sardines in hot-sauce for about $1.14 and
I thought I had a great deal until I realized I don't like sardines! uhmmm .. OK . . ..

The horrorrrrrrrrr!

The journey of a thousand miles starts with a person with 15 coupons!

I love this place!

Save what you don't use and give it to charity. With holidays at hand, lots of organizations and your local food pantry will be looking for donations. I take free stuff all the time that I don't intend to use, and am AMAZED at the uses I find for it. Last month I got a bunch of free cold and flu supplies at Rite Aid, including some nasal squirt bottle thingies that I had never seen before or knew existed, but they were $10-$15 items so I thought what the heck. They're free. Within a couple of days, TWO people walked into my home complaining about nasal problems! One an adult, and one a kid. And the nasal thingies I had - one was for an adult, one was for a kid! I swear the universe sent them to my doorstep, haha. Both have been using them ever since and have thanked me for turning them on to nasal squeegie thingies.

Praise be to the nasal queen - Oh, by the way I passed a brand new Rite-Aid store on the way home last week. Any feedback on them?
I actually do like sardines and was just kidding, but those paper towels (Marcal) are terrrrrrrrrible!! The good news is that I now only have twelve rolls.
(big honery smile)
Trust me, nothing will go to waste, there are plenty of good outlets for these things.. (wink)

Dangnabit, NOVACAS, you owe me a new keyboard for that! Grrrr...

But you're right about Marcal. One drop of wet stuff and they turn to saw dust. Totally worthless. :frown:

I only shop at Rite Aid for things that are free after Single Check Rebate. Seems about once a month or so they have a ton of stuff in one week. You buy it, enter your receipt number online and request a check, and they get your money back pretty fast. The cold and flu week added up to $144.20. Paid with a credit card. Got a check for the full amount back in about two and a half weeks, in time to pay the credit card. A couple of weeks ago they had a bunch of stuff that ranged from extension cords and electrical strips to hair "laminator." Wasn't sure why anyone would want to laminate their head, but picked it all up for about $50 bucks or so. Haven't claimed that rebate yet cause I'm waiting to see if there are any more good deals this month.

"Dangnabit, NOVACAS, you owe me a new keyboard for that! Grrrr..."

Essentia, I'll keep an eye out for a free coupon on that keyboard for you (wink) If I can't find one, maybe you'll settle for a 'hair laminater' from Rite Aid ? AnniePaul says that they basically give them away in there (big smile).

Hey.. I have a serious question - I'll put it in here, but also post it elswhere to see if I can't get my head around the issue: (on those Marcal paper towels) I have a 'FREE" coupon for one roll of Marcal paper towels - in the fine print it says *Value up to $1.00* - Now these towels are about $2.19 - and the ones that I got a couple of weeks ago were BOGO - So w/o the BOGO am I going to be paying a $1.19??

I know they turn to sawdust, but I still can blow my nose on them because I do remodeling anyway . . .

At HT you only have to buy ONE on the b1g1--so you pay .19 for one. I have read others are getting them for $1 (free then) at family dollar.

lol I think one of the most important things to realize is - if you wont use it or eat it - dont pay for it
If you get it free - donate it
If you make money on it - see above!
