My DD has pumpkins in her backyard already - not coz she planted them - but because she left one rotting there last fall!!!

I didn't have a single apple this year - but I still have the pleasure of splattering apples with my tractor - coz the squirrels like to take my neighbor's apples and eat 'em in my backyard!! (when I say eat - I mean take one bite!!!)

Oh I have tons of apples from my one Golden Delicious tree. We've been steadily picking and canning or drying for 2 weeks. The squirrels and bunnies are getting their fair share also. Even my dogs like the apples.

I have out picked both my tomato plants already this year and have 2 new ones started that are about 8 inches tall.

My sweet pepper plant I thought died off after we got a bunch from it, but it is comming back in nicely and should get another full round before its over.

My green beans went great. I had to freeze a ton of them as I sorta planted too many of them... But they are great,

And I have a pumpkin growing in my lilac bush. I need to get the vine out of there before it pulls the lilac bush down. I have been pulling pumpkin vines out of the lilac bush all summer and then I hurt my knee and haven't been able to do it for the last couple of weeks. The pumpkin is already the size of a softball and has the branch all the way down and hanging over an 8 foot retaining wall. The pumpkins and cantaloupe have just taken over my entire garden this year. They are vining up all my tomato plants, my hibiscus and my lilac bush. And I didn't even plant cantaloupe - it was thrown out into the compost.
