30 minutes of hail and 6.75 inches of rain.....what do I do?

That is what we got this morning. My very large zucchini plants have a lot of damage. They are still alive. Mostly missing their large leaves. The little zucchinis that are on them are fine. I am not sure what to do about the leaves that are broken. Do I take them off where they broke or at the bottom near the stem? I lost most of the flowers that were on them. Will the plants regrow their large leaves? I have never been able to grow zucchini successfully. This year things were going great until this morning. Hopefully they will rebound.

I personnaly would cut just below the damaged area.....

With proper care the leaves will regrow...
