Here in our part of the country, rabbit and deer are the largest concern. The most effective measure we use is to outside border our garden with a 12" wide line of marigolds. Outside of that border, we encircle the entire garden with a 4" wide line of used kitty litter. Haven't had a problem with rabbits or deer in the last 4 years of gardening. It looks much better than putting a chicken wire fence around the garden.

The cd trick read earlier works wonderful around our berries and sunflowers!

i sure hope you find something to get rid of them,it's really disheartening to see our veggie patch ruined, someone told
me today to put down some WD 40 around the edge of my garden,i am going to try it and see what happens

    Just saw this thread.

Try checking with your local friendly pet groomer. They would probably be glad to let you have as much pet hair as you want. Ask for post bath clippings because you don't want to be hauling around and scattering more pests like fleas. I put dog hair in my garden and have seen no evidence of furry pests like rabbits even though I know we have a lot of rabbits hanging around here.
