Now that we have begun a new year, I want to get suggestions from you. What are you looking to see in the Gardening forum thread wise?

Well, I'd like to know how people start their plants and when. If you start from seed, when and how. If you start with baby plants, where are your favorite places to buy them? I buy them from a different place every year, and I always have varying results.

Also, what people have success with in growing in small spaces. I have a 10 x 3 foot garden bed, and lots of different pots in the middle of a city.

Ooh! Just thought of this! Anybody's thoughts on composting? I got a composting tumbler for Christmas, and have no idea where to start!

When to start getting your ground ready for planting, when to plant, should you get special dirt & insecticides. Best time to water, how long to water.

In addition to previous posts regarding when to start seeds, hardening-off (that's my biggest problem!), thinning and transplanting, I am into vermiculture--composting with worms. I am currently using the tote method (found on youtube) but want to get a Worm Factory 360 for my b'day in February. Any suggestions from others on vermicomposting/vermiculture would be great. I also have regular compost bins in the back yard. (Worms are in the garage!)

Looking forward to some great discussions in this forum!

Hmm...I thought I posted already posted this...but that goes to show you the shoddy service I am getting out here. Sorry I haven't responded but I have been out of touch since Friday. I am on vacation and have really really bad service. It is very intermittent and I will be back in civilization on Tuesday. We can address all of your suggestions then! Thanks for posting them! I'd love to read about or see pictures of how free/cheap/found items are used in the garden. I don't currently have the income to go buy a bunch of pots or materials for raised beds, so I'd love to see suggestions for gardening on the cheap.

All of the above, plus something about getting rid of pests. We want a garden but don't have just a rabbit problem, we have more like a rabbit "infestation" - like a bunch of zombie rabbit colonies live in our yard, and we have dogs, so there will be no poison (that and I think poison is really mean anyway and can't do it) so I'm sure if I have a pest problem to talk about, other gardeners do too lol!
