i can't take photos- but i'll describe it- i got about 2 buckets of tomatoes, including ONE tomato from a plant that grew over 6 feet tall. one!

some red, some orangey, and some tending toward yellow. none was much over a pound- maybe 20 ounces or so, down to some clear white cherry tomatoes that were the size of marbles.

We live in an apartment with no patio or balcony, so this year, for the first time, I attempted to grow some hot peppers strictly indoors. I got a long, narrow planter box that fits on the deep windowsill in the living room and planted Caribbean Red habaneros and some jalapenos. The plants grew well but were extremely slow to fruit. Finally, about a month ago, we got our first pepper! Then it was like the floodgates opened; both types started fruiting and ripening beautifully.
I hope to keep these plants producing through the winter. We're looking into some low-energy grow lights to purchase (maybe from Home Depot?) and come spring I'd like to add some more peppers and maybe some tomato plants to our little indoor greenhouse.

Here's the first edible thing I've ever grown fully indoors.

Don't let the pretty red color fool you. That pepper is screaming hot and it left mild burns on two of my fingers when I minced it up for enchiladas!

My camera is dead so I don't have any pictures of my garden at it's most fruitful, but here is one from May. I have three of these raised beds as well as a section of strawberry plants. Lots of pots of herbs, etc. And then about 10 5-gallon buckets of tomatoes as well. :-) The tomato cages are 5.5 feet high and the tomatoes grew far taller than that this year.

I only have photos of the original planting, but my green beans took off. I was getting a grocery bag full every other day!
