For those of you who are new to gardening and not familiar with what types of plants grow well in your climate, climate zone maps were created as a tool to assist you. Whether you are a novice gardener or a professional gardener, these maps will give you the information needed to make sure your garden blooms year after year!! Seed packets as well as already established plants/trees/shrubs that you purchase at the local nursery will have the "zones" the plant will thrive in.

I thought it would be good to provide you with a snapshot of what the climate zone looks like for each of our states. The map was taken from the following URL:
