    Default Are my plants dying?

This is my first gardening attempt and all was going well until about a week ago. Here are pictures to show you what it is looking like right now. At first I was watering everyday and started the schedule of every other day do to the leaves were turning yellow. Now I have not used anything like Mircle Grow spray or anything else. Please let me know what you think because I need to make some adjustments by the end of the week or I am afriad I will lose them.

The first plant is indeed looking rough ....I am not sure about the others as I haven't tried the upside down container method before. I do know that bell peppers are a long maturity plant, so it takes a long time for them to start producing peppers (compared to most other summer veggie plants).

From what I have read about container gardening, lack of water is one of the major pitfalls to watch out for. It appears that the soil in your tomato plant (if that's the first pic) is too dry. I'd suggest giving it some miracle grow or other calcium supplement and plenty of water. Tomatoes are also deep rooted plants, so you'll want to be sure that you have plenty of room in the container for the root system and a sturdy stake or trellis for it to grow on.

Hope you get it back on track!!!!

The tomato plant really needs water unless it looks that way because it is already dying. Water in the morning and don't get much water on the foliage if possible. Never water in the evening as it can keep plants damp and disease can set in.

Watering every day sounds like a lot unless the temps are in the 90's or the plants are in incredibly bright, full sun. When you stick your finger in the soil is it completely dry or still moist? If moist, wait 1-2 days before watering again. If dry, wait 1 day unless it's powdery, which I doubt.

Most summer vegetables need a lot of sun - I am wondering if them being underneath the pot if they are in shade too much?

The yellowing leaves could just be the plant adjusting to the new watering schedule(s).
