My in-laws raise chickens in their backyard. We get eggs from them most of the time.
My cousin gave me some fresh eggies the other day, and now I want chickens.![]()

In a houseful of toddlers and pets, you can start out having a bad day, but you keep getting detoured.

I have a flock of 9-started with 13 (unlucky number) and one could not get along with my others they tried to kill her multiple times so she moved to a friends house and got baby chicks to live with and is very happy now and we have had 3 die. This spring they will be 3 years old and still produce more than enough eggs for us (family of 5). They are really no trouble, food and water and room to scratch and they are fine. Feel free to pm me with any questions.
We had a pet chicken...only year the apple tree had good apples (since my parents didn't spray it) cause the chicken ate all the bugs.
We loved having one...and there poo absorbs into the grass rather well.
