Default Is mistletoe poisonous?

We bought some yesterday and one of the berries fell off and then my SO says he thinks it might be poisonous. So I don't want to keep it if so. And if it is-to humans or animals or both?

YES, real mistletoe (just the berries , I believe) is poisonous!!:sad:Don't let children get a hold of it. Try the fake kind instead.

I've always heard that, but I've never seen proof. But, I wouldn't take any chances.

However, mistletoe is used as medicine in Europe to treat respiratory problems and as a cancer treatment. I remember seeing it on the news a few years back when that woman that played on Three's Company (the blonde) was using it instead of chemotherapy.

Hey! You're not supposed to eat it, just stand under it and get a kiss!
