Ok, it was tiny. One tomato ready off my topsy turvey tomato plant. But yum, yum. We all got a piece of it last night and my 3 year old kept asking for more! I've got another that will be ripe in a few days and then one more after that and that's it for this year. Considering however, that this is my first food growing effort, we were away 3 weeks and had it being watered on an automatic timer, and that it probably isn't getting enough sun, I'm very pleased.

I'm planning a garden for next year. I'll be putting fencing in sometime before the end of the month, then be able to lay out my beds the way I've drawn them. Can't wait for next year when I've got all my veggies!

So envious of you, nothing beats eating produce grown on your own soil. Last year my husband planted Tomatoes and everyday I was in fresh tomatoe chutney heaven.

This year we did not plant a vegestable patch and I 've lamented all summer.

    Happy Harvesting
