question about my sweet potato plants

i planted several sweet potatoe plants in my flower bed and now they
are growing all over the place,will it kill the plants if i cut off some of the
vine,anybody any idea

These sweet potato vines are very hardy!! If you cut the ends off it will not kill it. I have trimmed mine back a lot, and it is actually not even in the ground. I have it in a pot and it is still a crazy grower.
MIL warned me not to put it in the ground because it would take over every thing else!!

So I say clip away;)

thanks kristy,i dug the sweet potatoes last week and i had several
nice sized one as i had planted them so late in the season,the vines
truly took over,ran all across the bed and started out across the walkway,
it was so pretty and healthy looking that i hated to pull it up
