| Re: Post your garden pictures here! i don't have any pics of my garden, but here is a link to some veggies i picked from the garden today. My garden is a little messy, i kind of let the tomatoes just grow without being caged and i haven't weeded in a while.. http://www.hotcouponworld.com/forums...ning-2009.html

edited to add more | I didnt know if you were talking to me or not...maybe the firepit area? I was going to put a drainage pipe in, but we have lived here 3 years and had it flood once and that only lasted 4 or 5 days lol....so there isnt too much of a need for a pipe but would be nice ;) |

i don't see anything wrong with your plants but you need to pull out
a few of the baby pepper plants so they can grow, the lettuce is
beautiful, you have ripe tomatoes and the carrots look so healthy, where
did you get the planters,i need some of them that size,i am already
planning my garden for next yr,at the end of the planting season i am
going to check homedepot and lowes to see if i can find some large
planters like the ones you have,i just love looking at all of the veggie
pics |

| Re: Post your garden pictures here! NIGHTB1022 your yard is absolutely beautiful. I love flowers & birds & once we can get settled into our own home ( just moved here in Nov & renting now ) I intend to make my backyard into somthing similar. I love a peaceful place to go sit throughout the day.
What are some of the flowers you have in your gardens?

Black Eyed Susan
Brave Heart
Crinkled Beauty
Exotic Love
Miss Ozie
Flaming Poppa
Peppermint Patty
Fairy Tale Pink
Little Grapette
Stella D'Oro yellow
Stella D'Oro orange
Madonna Lily (easter lilies)
All of the above daylilies I bought from GHW.
Other plants include:
Coreopsis
Hens & Chicks
Lavender
Black eyed susans
Gaillardia
Stargazer Lilies
Purple Coneflower
White Coneflower
Purple, White & Pink Astilbe
Purple & White Liatris
Russian Sage
Assorted color Mums
Dianthis
Purple iris
Yellow/Bronze iris
evening primrose (very fast spreading, it will take over)
blue fescue
sedum
ribbon grass (very fast spreading, it will take over)
assorted hosta Dusty miller - an annual but can come back as perennial if protected during winter, mine have for the past 3 years. columbine
tiger lilies
Purple sand cherry bush
japanese willow trees
and I know I still missed some! I always plant annuals with the above as well to mix some more color in with the perennials. One I always plant is marigold, and a lot of it because we live in the country somewhat and mice are always a problem with the farmers fields around us and the mice seem to really hate the marigold. There is nothing I hate worse than having a mouse bolt across my path when I am gardening LOL.
I am getting ready again to put another order in with GHW, as I am planning on putting another show bed in the front yard this year, and I am addicted to lilies.
Hope this helps! As I said, I am sure I missed a bunch that I will think of later!
One thing I put in my flower beds every spring is "dried blood", you can get it at most nurseries and does it ever pump up your garden plants, it is a powder and you just sprinkle it on the ground and water it in. |
