And you don't realize it until the next day? Dh went to Fry's Tuesday to get the Purex, Grands, and a few other things. I really wanted them and was really sick, so couldn't go myself. I didn't realize until yesterday that 1 MQ didn't go through. I know he gave it to her. Sometimes this happens, but I notice it while I'm still in the store so they can search for the MQ and then fix it. Although now that it's been a few days will they do anything about it? I know it's only $1, but $1 is $1 and I could have used that MQ this week if it was just going to waste!

I need to go talk to CS anyway, b/c the milk rang up at full price, too (which is clearly listed in the ad as being on sale), but wondered if I can do anything to convince them to give me my $1 back, as well. It seems like I'm ALWAYS going to CS for something that didn't ring up right! I'm getting tired of it just not working right the first time!

Personally, I've never gone back the next day on a Q issue. I now have a habit of stopping just past the register and scanning the reciept before I leave. DH and DD are used to this now. That way I can hit CS immediately if i must - and at one location it is almost always a must :rolleyes:

If your going back for another issues anyways, it wouldn't hurt to bring it up. Worse case scenario, they say no. But they won't have the Q anymore - I was told they send them off in batches daily (likely to their processing center).

Otherwise, the worst scanning issue I had was when the self Scan attendant took my Qs and scanned them at someone ELSE'S station! I was looking at this guy look all surprised that he got so much cash back. Then I look at my total and it is off by $15. Took going thru the freaking reciept, all the Qs I gave him, doing the match, and explaining to him that he had it on the wrong station before they decided to move me to CS because he couldn't deal with it. I did get cash back but SHESH!

I do the same as xynthia, look the receipt before leaving. It's easier that way because the cashier will remember your transaction and has access to your coupons.

Before checking out, I count out how many coupons I use, and then I count them out again after check out on the receipt to make sure that all were scanned. I also eyeball things during checkout. Paper gets stuck together, lots of times.

It's also pretty helpful if you have a ball park figure of what your total should be at the close of your transaction prior to checking out. That way if you are planning to pay $5 and your total is $2 higher, you'll know something didn't get scanned.

Well, usually I do watch closely to make sure everything does get scanned right and always check before leaving the store--I always know how many coupons I gave, so I can count how many got scanned. But dh went for me and I wasn't there last time. I only gave him 4 MQ, so I didn't think there would be any problems. I guess I'll try asking them about it, but I'm guessing I'm probably out that $1.
