I have been a member of this site for some time and I have "strayed from the coupon path" (LOL) for a little bit but now I want to get back into it. Is there any way I can change my login in name (I have seen other members in the past have it done) to something else because the screen name represented me and my ex's initials and the year we started dating. The past is the past, ya know? Lol...

If anyone can let me know who I need to talk to, it would be greatly appreciated!

We only change usernames if there is a privacy issue (like someone that entered their full name, real name, email address that sort of thing as their username) or in some instances when there is a good reason like you are busybeemomof3 and have twins and now you want to be queenofthehivemomof5 or special instances...just let me know. You don't loose anything, like feedback or whatever. It just a name change. But I don't do it for "I dislike my name" or "I changed my mind" or "my name is boring" type reasons. Most instances we will ask that you add a line to your signature to let others know of your name change so your traders can still find you and it is good idea to let your friends and regular traders know too.

I can't find the answer to this anywhere. How can I change my username? It's simply not "cool", and I didn't realize everyone would be able to see it when I first signed up. (duh!)

I looked at the FAQ's and tried to see the answer to the question but each time I'd click on "how do I change my user name" (or whatever it said) it would just take me to the same page again and I never saw the answer.

However, I do remember reading when I first got on here that it was near impossible to get your user name changed but I think that rule has been relaxed a bit as I've seen 2 name changes just in the past couple of weeks.

Q: How Do I Change My Username?



There are no setting permissions for members to change thier usernames. In certain circumstances the administrators of Hot Coupon World may grant special requests for a username change. These special circumstances may include:

• Reasons of personal privacy (if a member has signed up with a username that that includes their email address, real name, or location)
• Change in family dynamics (if a member has a username that reflects how many children they have for example, and that member has had a new baby, then we may consider a name change to reflect that).

We will NOT however change usernames just because someone does not like the username they choose.

To request a change in username please fill out the form fouund HERE.

In your request, please clearly state the reason you are requesting a username change as well as the username you would like to change to.

If you request is acceptable the administrators will change your username. If it is denied they will let you know the reason why your request was denied.
