Well, if you want to you can turn off people's signatures and avatars by default so they don't take a while to load, or reduce the number of posts so it takes less time. But I know how it is. I'll never forget when I was browsing with 14k speed years ago. Now it's so much worse with the wide adoption of AJAX (that's what makes pages be able to respond to you without having to reload the page, like when you are filling out a form and it tells you your password isn't long enough before you've even submitted it) and Flash...
If you don't have a browser that allows you to turn off images and flash, it might be worth the dl time to get one for sites that you just want to see the content already (like search engines or news or emails). But I know it's fun to see people's images on here...

I second this. WE need an actual guinea pig smilie. I don't know where to find smilies so I am not much help there.
The one in GP's siggy(chriscree) is called hamster but hamsters do not have tails therefore I consider it a gerbil.

Anyway, can someone find a cute guinea pig smilie?

LOL you are absolutely right. I never paid attention to it before. Someone sent it to me labeled as a hamster & I never really took a good look at it. The rodent in your sig is now gone as it has been renamed as gerbil however, it also kinda looks like a squirrel.

My hamster has a tail. It's a teeny weeny little tail, but it's there. Of course, my hamster is special. How else can he escape from his cage all the time? :shrug7: We named him Harry after Harry Houdini.
